Originally funded as part of a US Department of Education grant, and validated by the National Science Foundation, UNESCO, clinical psychologists, experienced educators, researchers, and focus groups of educators and students were used in developing, fine-tuning, and validating StrengthBuilders to ensure their accuracy and effectiveness. Our goal is to enable children to practice different social behaviors and understand the effects of possible actions. No other program has undergone extensive efficacy studies like ours.

Our programs begin with an accurate assessment where children navigate through a series of virtual social challenges and problem-solving tasks where they must use emotional intelligence to successfully advance. The data gathered through this evaluation is used to determine your child’s baseline skill level for the six targeted strengths through our proprietary scoring algorithms and in-game response comparisons against benchmark data.
In just the first six scenes of the gamified training, we created 656 lines of actor-voiced dialogue, more than 200 new animations, and several innovative new game mechanics.
The interactive branching written into our scripts provided an average of 224 distinct narrative/gameplay paths per scene so that each child will have a unique and personalized gameplay experience based on their own choices.
Unlike core academic subjects, such as math, ‘correct’ responses in social situations are dependent upon the context, the individual’s motivation. Correctness is more in terms of degrees, rather than absolutes. Because of this, the assessment and reporting algorithm development team applied even more rigorous validation criteria, compiling multiple qualitative and quantitative data points over seven years to ensure accuracy, validity of evaluations, and reporting.
